So you had power folding mirrors but only operational via the lock / unlock key fob? With the addition of the internal button you can fold just by turning the dial??

Shame it can only be fitted that way. Great that you tried. Maybe a future version can be manufactured so bumper removal is not required if at all possible, but a bodyshop/Audi was definitely a good call.

Wow glad I fast forwarded thru this complete waste of time, u we’re so close, there’s a clip holding the rear lights in in addition to the screws, if you couldn’t get that done probably for the best cuz it doesn’t get any easier after that.

Thanks for being honest about the installation. As mentioned, driveway mechanics are beaten by not being able to get the car high enough (Ramp) for jobs like this. And as you mentioned the weather also comes into play! Looks superb however. May I ask the labour charge please?

Really appreciate the video and the honesty. I struggle to understand why you would start drilling holes and adding self tappers before even waiting for AP to respond to your questions, especially knowing that the product was designed for your car. I guess having got so far with the install you felt that you were past the point of no return and just wanted it finished. Hopefully you have prevented others from following the same path and I look forward to seeing part 2 so that we can all see how it sb done and how amazing the car is going to look with it installed. Ha had the same issue, called AP, they said do what you can. I didn’t drill holes but where the clips met the diffuser I just put a generous amount of e6000 and hoped for the best. 3yrs later still on. Also I had the bumper off, removed all the junk holding the old bumper and still had issue with the clips.

I would also love one of these for my TTRS roadster. Can anyone recommend a bodyshop to fit this in Yorkshire?

Looks awesome Darren! I had trouble with the clips on mine and the sides sagged a little but nothing a few self tappers couldn't fix! (mine is not a AP product) I have driven through crazy deep puddles and snow since it was fitted and hasn't moved at all. The RS is looking awesome! I cant wait to see what is next! 👊

Thanks for your Video Darren, although we appreciate you sharing our product, our kits are to be installed by professionals body shop experts! Just starting off, have failed to even connect the under tray to the new AP diffuser.

Bumper needs to be removed impossible to fit correctly with the bumper in place bumper off all clips can be clipped in easily with the bumper removed and all tabs must be glued from the rear I fitted mine perfectly but I am a professional that works on cars daily

I have to say I fit most of the AP kits to all manufacturers they offer kits for. Firstly the rear bumper most be off to fit correctly and also there are plastic frames that need to be removed from original diffuser and reinstalled onto the AP diffuser? I have fitted loads of these and never had to use self tapping screws to secure the part. Once I have the part fitted into place I usually secure using either a 2k epoxy adhesive or a good quality hot glue. 100% bumper off to fit correctly.

They need to revise that as that’s not acceptable for a premium product. I would not be happy drilling holes through carbon when it’s supposed to fit. Different story if it was £100 off ebay!

Mine was fitted by a bodyshop and they commented on the same. They ended up grinding some material away and had the bumper off to make it all fit.

How do people not know the difference between a Mk1 and Mk2 seat!?! They were rare on the Mk2 but called the ‘athletic leather’ or 'Impulse leather' depending on the market and not baseball.
